We are a Church with a rich history that has been in Duke Street since 1867. Occupying a modern multi-functional space on the site of the original building, today’s congregation has roots beyond Duke Street from a number of other former churches in Leith, Edinburgh and Portobello.

A huge strength of our congregation is the sense of belonging people experience knowing that everyone is valued as they are.
We gather for worship on a Sunday morning at 10am. Our service is also broadcast live on Facebook. As it can be accessed via a link on this website you do not require a Facebook account and is available to view at any time. Please come and join us in person or online.
We are proud to support active youth organisations in Duke Street URC that are part of our Church family. Our well run Rainbows, Brownies and Guides continue to be very popular and have introduced many girls to Guiding for 100 years. In 2018 our Boys’ Brigade Company was restarted with Anchor Boys. Plans are now being put in place to establish a Junior Section.
The Revd. David M Scott, BSc BD(Min)
David was ordained and inducted to the Joint Pastorate of Duke Street URC and Saughtonhall URC in April 2018. David was a Chartered Surveyor until 2014 when he began training for ministry at the University of Glasgow and the Scottish United Reformed and Congregational College.
We have wonderful uniformed youth organisations in Duke Street URC but this would not be possible without passionate and committed leadership. As we prepare to begin our new session and support young people through all of the activities our organisations…
On Sunday 19th June a presentation was made from the congregation to Alison Douglas, Alison has retired after 47 years of service to Guiding in Duke Street. An amazing achievement.

This Sunday, 20th of February, we will celebrate 100 years of Guiding in Duke Street. This has been delayed due to Covid so it’s actually 101.5 years!! Our service will also focus on the themes of World Thinking Day 2022…
